Have you ever felt like you’re working hard, giving your all, showing up for your family, your career, and your calling…and yet, the math doesn’t seem to match your momentum?
You want structure, but not restriction.
You want progress, but not punishment.
You want a plan that actually fits your life.
We’ve all been in the space where you feel like you should have it together by now. The bills are paid, but the balance never seems to grow. You’re earning more, but somehow the peace you’re looking for hasn’t caught up.
That tension between progress and peace is something so many of us share. But here’s what we’ve learned on this journey: you don’t have to do it alone.
Managing money God’s way was never meant to be a solo experience. It’s meant to be walked out in grace, guided by truth, and supported in community. That’s why we turned our shame into self-compassion and our isolation into sisterhood.
Our “Aha” Moments: From Pressure to Purpose
When we look back on our journeys, each of us had defining moments that changed everything.
Willa’s Journey: From Alignment to Abundance
Willa’s first aha moment came when she realized that alignment—values first, then choices—was the foundation of financial peace. That shift helped her become a real estate investor, retire at 54, and live a life rooted in purpose instead of pressure.
Her second realization came after 32 years working in housing and community development for the City of Detroit. She met countless people struggling financially, not because they lacked discipline, but because they lacked access and guidance.
“God nudged me to become a resource,” she says. “Access and guidance change trajectories.”
Weslia’s Journey: From Ownership to Stewardship
For Weslia, the first aha moment came when women started asking her for investing advice, but she noticed something was missing.
“The edges of the puzzle were there,” she recalls, “but the middle was missing.”
They wanted wealth without a solid foundation.
Later, while studying biblical stewardship, she discovered the truth that changed everything: we’re not owners, we’re stewards. God owns it all, and our role is to manage what He’s entrusted to us with wisdom, faith, and grace.
That revelation shifted money from being a source of pressure to becoming a tool for purpose.
God Owns It All
Here’s the truth that anchors everything we teach: God owns it all. We’re simply stewards during our time on earth.
Haggai 2:8 reminds us, “The silver is mine and the gold is mine, declares the Lord Almighty.”Psalm 24:1 confirms, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”
When we truly embrace that, it changes how we see money. We stop trying to control it and start managing it with peace.
Our job as stewards is not to be perfect, it’s to be faithful.
1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “A person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.” That means using our resources wisely, pursuing truth and wisdom, and showing up with integrity in every financial decision, whether it’s a $10 purchase or a six-figure investment.
When we handle what we have with faithfulness, God can trust us with more.
